Who we are

Looky Studio is a product of Paranoid Software. When you submit a form on this site — the "Start free" request or the contact form — Paranoid Software is responsible for the personal data you share with us.

What we collect

This site collects personal data in two places: the "Start free" request form and the contact form. When you submit either one, we receive:

• Your name — so we know who we're talking to.
• Your email address — required, and the most important field. It's how we reply to you. For a "Start free" request, your account invitation and your sign-in codes are sent here too.
• Your phone number — optional, and only on the "Start free" form. We only ask for it in case email isn't enough to reach you.
• Your message and its category — only on the contact form, so we can understand and route what you're asking for.
• Your contact consent — you have to actively agree to be contacted before the form will submit. We record that you agreed.
• Your IP address — captured automatically with the request and forwarded to us so we can investigate spam and abuse.

Why we collect it

We use this information to:

• Send you the invitation to create your Looky account, and the sign-in codes you need to get in.
• Reply to the message you send us through the contact form.
• Get in touch with you about your request and about Looky.
• Detect and triage abuse, such as automated or fraudulent submissions.

Our legal basis is your consent: you choose to fill in the form and you check the box agreeing to be contacted. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, and we don't trade or rent it to anyone. We don't use it to build advertising profiles. It exists so we can onboard you and stay in contact about Looky — nothing else.

Who else processes it

A few service providers help us run the site and handle your request on our behalf. They only process your data to provide their service to us, under their own data-protection terms:

• Cloudflare — runs the human-verification challenge on the form, which helps us keep automated abuse out.
• Our own infrastructure providers — host the systems that receive the form, send your email, and store your request.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only as long as we need them to onboard you and stay in contact about Looky. If your request doesn't lead anywhere, or you ask us to remove it, we delete it. Retention is bounded — we don't hold onto contact details indefinitely "just in case".

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
• Delete your data and withdraw your consent to be contacted.

To make any of these requests — including opting out or having us delete your data — use our contact form and choose the Privacy request category. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
